Hi, I need to replace the alternator on my dads cx500, but the are hard to find at a reasonable cost. are there any combatible from other machines?

Are you sure the Alternator/Stator is at fault?
What are the symptoms/problems?
I'm afraid for the CDI engines you have to get a G47 Stator and David Silvers are around the best price,
