Hi,
on the engine I am rebuilding, one of the lobes on the camshaft has a small hole and some pitting fearing it could break up I am hoping to get it repaired.Does anyone have advice on this or know a good repairer in the uk.

It might be cheaper to get a decent one off eBay.You can use any Cx500 or GL500 one. Also they are in two parts e.g an interference fit so you can get them pulled apart and make one good one out of two defunct ones so long as the parts required are good.

I've never used these two engineering companies but worth keeping for reference if that's the way you want to go,

Also check your,"Yellow Pages" as there may be a local engineering company that specializes in engines that can do it.

HTH :)

Yes, very happy with the job, tried hard to get it done local but no one doing that sort of thing round here anymore.Engineering and metal fabricators shops disappearing, sign of the times. But we do have good forums. Thanks again Sinbad. :)
