After you get the bowl off, it is VERY important that you have a very light touch when you hold the float up to the needle to see where it seats at. It's very hard to do accurately! On the cx standard and deluxe with the black floats, they almost have to be adjusted when the carbs are upside down, to get them to rest on the secondary spring inside the needle, and they must be loose and free of corrosion. Not to mention the fact that you can have one side of the 2 floats higher that the other if the PO has messed them up. You won't see that with the carbs installed very easily. If you followed the manual settings the first time around, and you still have a problem, you might just need to take them off and be matriculates with them. Don't scrimp on any steps. These carbs are the heart of how these bikes perform in the end. Done right, Heaven. Done wrong, hell.
