Newly manufactored CX/GL carb boots...a real possibilty

Postby onehappycampster » Fri Nov 18, 2011 12:58 am

I've been in contact over the last few months with a few manufacturers of carb boots for current production bikes. I have finally found one, http://www.uppracing.com, that may be willing to start some r&d and production but only if the demand would be great enough. He was not concerned in the least with the aluminum to rubber bond either. He seems quite excited about extending his line of vintage carb boots. Of course my inquiry was originally about my CX650C. I'm sure others could be made available. So speak up guys and gals! How many different boots exist that would need to be reproduced? Would you be interested? What price point would you be willing to pay? If this happens to be be a one time product run, who would be in? I must say this is exciting, folks! Cheers.
