advance pulsar stator cx500

Hi everyone I have a cx500 had the stator rewound but am still getting a weak spark. Have I perhaps put the aps back wrong on my 1 there is a clip of sorts that can move. Can't seem to find out where it should be set to. Hope someone can help........

Is this a CDI ignition version CX e.g you have a CDI module on top of the rear wheel guard under the seat?

See this thread to check your Plug caps,

If you haven' already then buy a cheap digital multimeter,preferably with a continuity buzzer like this,

Then you can check the resistance of the spark plugs caps.Meters are not hard to use once you know a few tricks :)

PS
You can get them from Maplins as well(Open Sundays).
