Possibly a bad coil.

Pretty soon everything on this bike will be new and serviced because i have worked on it way to much. My problem is, after the bike warms up to operating temp, it will miss erratically when i give it about 1/3 throttle or try to accelerate quickly. I have to accelerate slowly or it will bog down and miss. When it is cold it is snappy and runs great. Does that sound like a possible coil failure? The carbs are rebuilt, float level set, copper rod in the plug caps, in line fuel filter.

It does sound like a coil breaking down but even a bad plug cap can cause this.Also does the bike get harder to restart when warm because if it does it could even be carb related.

It starts about the same as cold. I was driving down the road and when it was warmed up and started to act up i pulled the left plug wire off and then the right. The bike did not die it made no difference really. Now i am going to test the resistance on the pulsar and stator. I use the 2k setting right? Is there anything else i should check too.

Do the Blue and white wire resistance at the small block connector and see what they read to ground?

Set meter to 2000 ohms and test the harness blue wire to the frame and then the white to the frame at the small two bolck connector near the CDI unit.

Mine read White 360 ohms
Blue 450 ohms.

That looks to me as if there's a general breakdown in the Stator but I'd ask on Chopper Charles forum as well.The individual numbers may not be too bad but I think there's an accumulative failure
