If you have some old wheel bearings/Engine ball bearing races around or you are changing some then don't throw them away.Break them and keep the ball bearings.You can put one in the bottom of Metal polish tins/bottles and it will act like the activator ones in Spray paint Aerosols to agitate whatever is inside when you shake them.

Also they can be used inside a fuel tank to remove rust and particles.Empty the tank and let the fuel dry out.Pop some ball bearings in and swirl all around the tank.They will be small enough to drop out of the Petcock hole of you remove it

Another good cheap cleaner is processed cleaned gravel for fish tank aquariums! It worked wonders for cleaning my sons custom tank. I mixed 50/50 muriatic acid and water, filled the tank with it and shook it about for a day or more. Then washed it out and put about 2 cups of WD40 it it, then shook it around to keep it from rusting and dissipate the water from the rinse! The gravel with Sheppolas coke idea would probably work just as well!

I did the fish tank gravel in the tank and it worked great. You can really feel them rubbing every nook and cranny inside the tank. Hard little buggers to get out though. Lots of shaking involved. I bought the bright colored ones so I could clearly see them coming out.

Ball bearings won't work. It should be nuts and bolts. That way you can just say they came off the bike somehow or the Harley that just rode by. Plausible deniability my friend.
